Some lessons learned included: government commitment and full ownership, through the establishment of SREP national task team and through the climate finance division in Ministry of Finance and Economic Development (MFED), were critical to delivering the quality IP. Securing participation and support from key development partners who have information and can provide financial support ensured the IP was credible. Early involvement of the key development partners active in Kiribati ensured collaboration and helped identify a development partner to support the Government of Kiribati (GoK) with future investments. An experienced consultant familiar with the SREP process and the support of the SREP coordination unit based within the World Bank was critical to facilitating SREP reviews, including a review by an independent SREP consultant, to support the approval processes. Early identification and access to energy sector information for analysis will have avoided the need for a six‐month extension to the project. In circumstances where the availability of data is not clear, the teams should allow additional time.  رؤية أقل ـ
