Announcement of Telecommunications Loan in East Africa on February 20, 1967 (الإنجليزية)

This press release announces on February 20, 1967, that the World Bank has made a loan equivalent to thirteen million US dollars for the improvement and expansion of telephone and telegraph services in Kenya, Tanzania and Uganda. The loan will cover half the cost of a five-year (1966-70) program being carried out by the East African Posts and Telecommunications Administration, which operates postal and telecommunications services in the three countries.
