Despite progress, women face important barriers to becoming or remaining economically active. Gender gaps in education have been reversed - but once women enter the labor market their advantages diminish. Gender gaps in labor force participation increase over the lifecycle - despite women’s readiness to work. This report presents solutions for women’s economic empowerment (WEE).
