On August 8, 1956, the International
Bank for Reconstruction and Development (IBRD) Board of
Governors adopted resolution number ninety-seven, pertaining
to the membership of the Argentine Republic with the Bank.
It was resolved that before accepting membership in the
Bank, the Argentine Republic shall accept membership in and
become a member of the International Monetary Fund.
