Gas flaring reduction projects - framework for clean development mechanism (CDM) baseline methodologies (English)

Flaring of associated gas contributes significantly to the global emissions of greenhouse gases; flaring emissions are currently estimated to be 300 million tons of carbon dioxide equivalents per year. The clean development mechanism (CDM) can help stimulate investments in projects that reduce flaring and venting of associated gas.
